General Consultation
DEI consultation occurs on a continuum. Consultation looks different depending on the needs and expectations of an organization. DEI consultants may elect to operate as a coach, researcher, facilitator, short term project lead, and or adult learning trainer. No consultant role is innately superior to the other; consultation practices are a combination of style, preference and experience. We work with each partner to determine the right solutions based on needs and desired outcomes.
Assessment and Meaning Making
Innovative DEI’s assessment process is done in close partnership to understand and make meaning of the multiple truths, contradictions and tension present in the data. Our assessment and meaning making approaches ensure that the right organizational inquiries are activated at the right time. Information, data, and artifacts become high leverage opportunities to plot where to go next.
Assessment methods may include surveys, focus groups, targeted interviews, observation, document/ artifact analysis, scorecards, and organizational structure review.
Integration and Ecosystem Planning
Innovative DEI believes that future-first organization development is the pathway for justice and inclusion. Future-first organizational development involves holding a deep understanding that actions today will impact future generations.
Integration and Ecosystem planning is a more fluid approached to inclusivity and equity than strategic planning as it does not place an excessive focus on control and rigidity.
Furthermore, diversity and inclusion do not need to be managed. Diversity and inclusivity need to be embedded in the values, symbols, tangible and intangible artifacts, and operational areas to be sustainable and impactful.
